One Word "TALENT"

 Mickey no Disney

Yes you heard me Mickey no Disney, anyways I'm talking about one of my favorite mc's EVER Mickey Factz!!!!!! Truthfully dude is one of the realest and most talented rappers in the game. Hailing from the Big apple or  "Black apple" as he refers to it. Mickey has been able to stay underground for quite a while so if you haven't heard of him don't be surprised. That however doesn't mean you should close the this tab, because this is one of sickest rappers you will ever come along and the reason he hasn't hit the main stream is because he has remained true to his music and sound which is hard to see in an artist nowadays (reference to Lupe). On with story, Mickey has been tearing up the mixtape world for a while and then went underground last year. To our relief i can proudly say he was in the lab cooking up some shit which i can proudly write a review on today :) :)

Loyal readers i present to you

Mickey MauSe - Mickey Factz

First and foremost when a rapper like Mickey goes M.I.A for a year you know he is going to produce something with a real kick(Chuck Norris) and that is exactly what he did in his latest mixtape which i must add is a concept mixtape. Throughout the tape Factz tells us a story of Mickey Maus5 through his eyes (pronounced Mause) a pseudo character created by Mickey Factz who is a graffiti writer in the 80-s. As the tape proceeds we see Mause rise as an artist and associate himself with the greats of that era(Andy Warhol,Jean Michel Basquiat and Keith Hearing), indulge himself in drugs, contract AIDs and loose his friends and kicked out, unto the end in which he comes to the realization that in order for his work and him to be immortalized he must die. This realization he takes with an openly arms "If tonight is my last night don't cry "

Overall the tape is probably the best compilation i have heard in the last 3 year and is defiantly a breath of fresh air. Labelled by Lupe as a "masterpiece" and Swizz Beats Promoting the tape on his site can just reinforce how amazing the tape is. I personally think Mickey has earned his tape a spot in the mixtape world hall of fame alongside other works of art such as Joe Budden's Mood Muzik Vol. 2.

Considering the fact that Mickey took a years hiatus and spent half of that time  just stands to prove how much time and effort he put into the tape which evidently was worth it the concept is very solid and the lyrics are top notch. Personally I'm excited to hear future material from Factz especially after undergoing this metamorphism I really see him produce "masterpieces"

See the Transformation Mickey took to become Mickey Mause

My favorite tracks off the Tape will have to be Hulk Hogan and Crack, The Arts ( Avant Grade), Taking Pictures Of Girls Naked and Union Square

Union Square-
" Fumes from the paint can, slither through the night
Tunes from a wast land, visionary light
I'm giving people life from the mouth of a reaper
I'm like Malcolm The Teacher, announced through the speaker"

Now since this is a mixtape i can give yall the link!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Downloading

GOLF WANG!!!!!

OFWGKTA is back! Now to any of you guys out there that still haven't heard of OFWGKTA(Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) they are an 11 man crew, they comprise Tyler, The Creator,Hodgy Beats ,Left Brain, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis, Mike G, Frank Ocean, Syd tha Kyd, Matt Martians, Jasper Dolphin and Taco. Now this is their third compilation in which they whole crew appears on ;

The OF tape Vol.2

This is the groups first official album, consisting of 18 tracks. Despite all 11 members being on the album they do not appear on the same track, which for some this presents a problem as the compilation apparently lacks fluidity and at times appears incoherent. This can be seen through out the album with The Internet (Syd Tha Kid and Matt Martians) providing a jazzy R&B feel ( with a Pharrellish sound) on “Ya Know.” and Frank Ocean on “Snow White” and “White,” Where he shines as usual. I however don't have a problem with these jazzy R&B interjections because they appear to give the album more depth and allow the crew to showcase their  ever growing talent. Now there are many banger on this album and personally I had the whole album on repeat for the past two days!!! If you have listened to any of their previous work you will immediately notice some pretty fucking insane beats on this album the next thing you notice is that the Group tones down on the maniacal (aka awesome) lyrical content which makes it lighter on all you OF noobs never the less this does not affect OF's spitting game as the OF fam are still able to produce retarded lines:

Mike G - Forest Green "Follow the leader, bad senoritas in two seater's/ She loves green, that's money, Mary Jane and margaritas/ The way it seems, the streets be looking at me like a teacher"

Hodgy - P "Tea parties are the shit, forty mags by the scones/ I'm fighting for gun rights to shoot a nigga in his dome/ Click your fucking heels, there's no place like home / Cock back and blast off written on the tombstone, ain't that a bitch"

Earl Sweatshirt - Oldie"Swallowin' syrup and settin' fire to sheriff's whips/ (Whoosp, whoosp) fuckin' All-American terrorist / Crushin' rapper larynx to feed 'em a fuckin' carrot stick/ And me? I just spent a year Ferrisin'/ And lost a little sanity to show you what hysterics is/ Spit til' the lips meet the bottom of a barrel, so that sterile piss/ Flow remind these niggas where embarrassed is"

Tyler the Creator - Sam(is dead) Bottom of the countdown, shit ain't been the same/ Since I found out Hodgy Beats ghost wrote for Bow-Wow/ Now I'm the loud, shot, body-styled, foul mouth fucker
That your teenage kid, likes to bow down/ Flow remind these niggas where embarrassed is

Over all i think the album is fucking awesome!!! Its my favorite album for 2012 so far, I would give it a4.5/ 5. The album showcases the variety of talent within OF, it contains numerous ill tracks, and is also easy on the ears for those new to OF and new listeners. My favorite track off the album would have to be Rella.

Before i go i would like to leave you with this:
